Types of SBI Motor Insurance Claims

SBI Cashless Claim: For repairs, you register a cashless claim and transport your car to a network garage. SBI will pay the garage directly, and you only need to pay your deductible.

SBI Reimbursement Claim: You are responsible for paying for the repairs yourself, and the expenses will be reimbursed by the insurance after the verification of all relevant papers. You are free to bring your car to any workshop of your choosing.

How to File SBI Motor Insurance Claim?

  1. Intimation: If the car is stolen, gets into an accident, or sustains any kind of damage, inform the insurer immediately. Visit the insurer’s official website or the closest branch to alert the insurer.
  2. Submission of Documents: Once the necessary paperwork is submitted online, a surveyor will be assigned to evaluate the extent of the vehicle’s damage. This article goes on to provide a list of the documents needed to register the claim.
  3. Survey: The insurance company’s surveyor will evaluate the damage and repair costs after the claim is filed. Any additional costs incurred, i.e., damages to uninsured parts must be covered by the insured.
  4. Claim Settlement: If you file a cashless claim, the firm will pay the network garage directly. The policyholder receives payment of this authorized sum in the event of a reimbursement claim.
